GIORDANIA: TOUR LA MAGIA DEL DESERTO

Day 1: Italy - Amman

Arrival in Amman for dinner and overnight stay. Reception and Assistance upon arrival at Queen Alia International Airport, assistance with Visa paperwork and afterwards departure to Amman. Check-in at hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Amman - Free Day

Breakfast at the hotel. Free day in Amman or choice of optional excursions. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel

Day 3: Amman City Tour - Jerash - Ajlun - Amman.

After breakfast we will depart for Jerash, the Pompeii of the East. We will enter through the South Monumental Gate and find ourselves inside a Roman city. We will walk in the Oval Square surrounded by columns, visit the Roman Theater and Byzantine Churches with mosaic flooring. You will see for yourself how the Romans built the earthquake-proof columns of the columned street. Afterwards we will leave for Ajloun, an Islamic military castle used by Saladin's Islamic troops to protect the region against the Crusaders. Return to Amman to explore the capital, a city known for about 100 years, called Rabbat Ammoun; visit The Citadel, the Roman Ruins and the Roman Theater located in the active center of the Old Souq. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel in Amman.

Day 4: Amman -Madaba - Nebo - Little Petra - Petra

 After breakfast we will leave for Madaba, one of the mostspectacular churches in the world; St. George's Church where there is a Mosaic decorated floor with the Map of Jerusalem. Afterwards we will go to Mount Nebo, the place where Moses was buried. If you are lucky and the sky will be clear, you will have a chance to have an extraordinary view of the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Jericho from across the Jordan River.

 We will move on to visit Little Petra, located near the main site. Unlike Petra, in which the Nabataeans lived and buried their dead, Little Petra was designed to accommodate the caravans from Arabia and the East, which went as far as Syria and Egypt. In order for them to stop after crossing Wadi Rum, the Nabataeans first dug small caves in the sandstone rock, later going so far as to build grand ones for the number of caravaners who stopped there.

 Then on to Petra, for dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5: Petra (full day tour)

After breakfast we will depart for Petra. No visit to Jordan is complete without visiting the capital of the ancient Nabataean kingdom, Petra. The lost city of Petra, carved out entirely by man among the pink-red mountains, strains the imagination. The natural riches of the mountains, combine with Nabataean culture and architecture, which worked their theaters, temples, facades, tombs, monasteries, houses and streets in the pink rock. UNESCO has listed the city as a World Heritage Site, with the Siq, a deep and narrow gorge, where Petra's famous monument appears at the end: al-Khazneh or the Treasury. You may recognize it in the final scene of the movie "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade." But the Treasury is just the beginning.... Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Petra - Wadi Rum (02h 4x4)

 After breakfast we will reach Wadi Rum, an ancient passageway for caravans laden with precious goods that traveled north from the Arabian Peninsula to the Mediterranean ports. Its beauty is characterized by time-scarred mountains, ancient lake beds that have now dried up, and towering, deep red dunes. In these places an Italian researcher, Professor Borzatti, found artifacts of the oldest known alphabet, Tamudic, dating back 6,000 years. There are also numerous engravings and rock paintings carved into the rocks of the famous "valley of the moon." Possibility to make the excursion by 4x4 Jeep for 2 hours. Departure to the tented camp for a unique experience: dinner around the fire, a night under the stars in a comfortable tent with private bathroom: a magical atmosphere to experience once in a lifetime. Dinner and overnight stay in the tented camp.

Day 7: Amman - Dead Sea - Amman

After breakfast we will depart to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, with its 423 meters below sea level. Free day at the Dead Sea, which lies on Jordan's western frontier. The salty and unusually mineral-rich water, mud and thermal mineral springs are healing to the body and spirit. We will then continue to Amman for dinner and overnight at the hotel

Day 8: Amman - Italy

After breakfast meet at the hotel with our assistants who will take you to Queen Alia International Airport for departure
