LOCATION
Among the villages in Zanzibar, The Dongwe Club is unquestionably the most prestigious. It is located directly by the sea on the east coast of Zanzibar, about 6 km from the village of Michamvi and 65 km from the capital Stone Town. Transfer from Zanzibar airport: about one hour and thirty minutes.
FACILITIES AND SERVICES
Restaurant, two bars, lounge with satellite TV, boutique, swimming pool (with seawater), theater-cinema room, Italian medical service, free Wi-Fi at Club House. Long pier with sun deck, bar and restaurant (open for dinner, with reservation fee). ACCOMMODATIONS
Standard: All double, twin or four-poster double bed with mosquito net, equipped with telephone, minibar, safe, hair dryer, air conditioning and veranda. Third bed available only in double rooms.
Superior: Located in two two-story buildings. All are double with four-poster double bed with mosquito net, equipped with telephone, minibar, safe, hairdryer, air conditioning balcony or veranda. Third bed available in all rooms. Possibility of communicating rooms, "family rooms," located on the ground floor.
De Luxe: All double, twin or four-poster double bed with mosquito net, equipped with telephone, minibar, safe, hairdryer, air conditioning and veranda, all facing the sea. Third bed available only in double rooms.
Suites: There are four, consisting of a room with a "king-size" double bed, an adjoining entrance lounge (with a Zanzibari-style bed for children), a bathroom. They are equipped with direct-dial telephone, satellite TV, minibar, safe, hairdryer, air conditioning and veranda.
RESTAURANT
Local chefs, assisted periodically by one of our experts, offer mainly Italian cuisine alternating with flavors of local cuisine. Buffet breakfast, buffet lunch and dinner or served at the table, with a "soft all inclusive" formula that includes: natural mineral water and soft drinks (without any limitation), tea and American coffee at main meals; "late breakfast" at the bar from 10 am to 12 noon; tropical fruit every morning; pastries every day during "tea time". Evening gastronomic surprises and special themed dinners with buffet service. The "soft all inclusive" formula is offered until midnight. Not included are all alcoholic beverages, soft drinks in bottles or cans, fruit juices and espresso coffee.
BEACH
A long white sandy beach equipped with umbrellas and sunbeds. Beach towels, available at the facility.

Free: tennis (2 mateco courts with lighting), archery, snorkeling, beach volleyball, beach soccer, fi tness, water gymnastics, bocce, table tennis.

WELLNESS CENTER.
The Club has a small wellness center that offers moments of relaxation and body care: relaxing and therapeutic massages, facial and body treatments.
CHILDREN
They are welcome at any age, without dedicated facilities or assistance.
DIVING CENTER
The Club cooperates with the nearby Rising Sun Dive Center, which has been operating on the island since 1997. Experienced and qualifi ed instructors will accompany you to discover the underwater world. The Center offers the full range of PADI courses. Snorkeling equipment and all state-of-the-art diving gear can be rented at the Center (for a fee). The unspoiled reef on the east coast offers a wide variety of marine life and beautiful dive sites at different depths and for different levels of experience.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
Individual passport (also for minors 0 years and under) with validity 6 months beyond the date of departure from Italy. Passports with entries of minor children remain valid for the holder alone until expiration. We would like to point out that as of June 4, 2014, for minors under the age of 14 who travel outside their country of residence NOT accompanied by their parents or usual legal guardians, new regulations have come into force that require an accompanying declaration to be submitted to the Police Headquarters.

ENTRY VISA.
The visa of USD 50 per person, at the time of printing of the catalog (end of September 2022), is mandatory and must be applied for before departure on the dedicated website or at the Tanzanian Embassy in Rome or the Honorary Consulate in Milan. For those who could not make the online procedure, it is still possible to obtain the visa on arrival in Zanzibar with payment by cash or credit card.
